"I Graduated from Robbing My Father to Keeping Guns for Bandits" -Suspect Narrates Officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have arrested and paraded a 20-year-old suspect, Abubakar Sani, in connection to the crime of banditry. The Spokesperson for the Katsina State Command of the NSCDC, Muhammed Adbara, made some revelations concerning the suspect while addressing the press.
The NSCDC has emphasized that it will not relent in protecting the lives and properties of Nigerians in various parts of the country. You may recall that the security agency had reportedly apprehended suspected bandits in previous months. NSCDC has since paraded more suspects in connection to banditry. Speaking while parading Abubakar at the Katsina State command, Adbara said, "Upon investigation and interrogation, the suspect willingly confessed that he is guilty of the allegations. The suspect confessed that he started his life of crime by stealing from his father."
Adbara also revealed that the suspect willingly confessed to having been involved in cattle rustling with a gang of five other members. He added that the suspect and his gang used sophisticated weapons such as AK-47 to terrorize a village in Jibia LGA. The suspect also confirmed that he was invited by some bandits to join them for an operation, but he refused. Abubakar said he later discovered that the bandits had abducted three people from the same village where he was invited to go for an operation. Abubakar added that he was eventually entrusted with an AK-47 rifle to keep for the bandits. The suspect confessed during an interview that he started stealing in his father's house before graduating to bigger crimes.
Adbara assures that the suspect will be charged to court.
